Anna & Mike

March 24th, 2010 by Jason

I only wanted to see you laughing in the purple rain.  Michael Lane, Aaanna Laaaaane.

We arrived home from this wedding and something inside urged me to tweet it to the world. It was 2am, we’d been working for 15 hours straight, our compact flash cards were completely empty and batteries almost drained, and yet we were still buzzing from the joy and excitement of the day.

And what a day.

Anna & Mike had returned from Abu Dhabi briefly for their wedding, and were keen on spending as much time as possible with their guests having the most fun they possibly could! Anna started off by getting ready in her beautiful family home, and we moved to St Pauls for the ceremony. After a brief stop in a local park for some formals we returned to the family home, were a huge marquee had been erected on the front lawn for the ensuing reception. After a round of the most entertaining speeches we’ve ever witnessed the dancefloor erupted – a combination of the Photobooth and craftily gathered dress-up closet (a well-kept secret from all of the bridal party and guests) helping the guests. Cross-dressing was quickly followed by impromptu limbo, improvised dancing, a huge conga line and a final rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain” rounded off the night.

Brilliant.

As I also tweeted at 2am in the morning, what an awesome couple. Enjoy!
