After Sarah & Mike’s wedding a couple of years ago, it was an absolute honour to be asked to photograph Mike’s sister’s beautiful wedding at Lacewood.
Jess and Hayden made this day their own: a westernised wedding on the lawn; followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony; cocktails and canapés with their guests; rip-roaring speeches; and hard partying through the rest of the night.
Congrats to Jess & Hayden, it was an honour, we loved spending time with both you and your families.
Jess & Hayden’s wedding is also featured over on one of NZ’s best wedding blogs: Paper & Lace.

“What the boy felt at that moment was that he was in the presence of the only woman in his life. He was more certain of it that anything in the world. And that with no need for words, she recognised the same thing.”

Simply a perfect day.
Complimenting our photographic coverage was the always-awesome Photo & Film by Jono Tucker, take a few minutes to watch his cinematic film, we dare you not to shed at least a small tear:
A few cheeky preview images from Greer & Caleb’s Tarureka Estate wedding last year. More soon!
“I not only love Verity with all of my heart, but I love loving her.”
Under a large tree, in front of their closest friends & family, amongst the vines of one of the greatest wineries in Martinborough, we witnessed Verity and Nathan’s wedding.
Here is their story.
(this wedding also featured this week on Love My Way)
We had the pleasure of working alongside the awesome Jono Tucker, who produced this beautiful cinematic wedding video. We’ll be working with Jono a lot more over the coming summer – watch this space!
So who does wear the pants?
There’s a lot of beautiful venues in the Wairarapa, but none may be quite as special as Kowhiti House. For Josephine & Thomas, returning from the UK, it was the perfect spot to spend a few days with close friends and family and celebrate their marriage. For their guests, the perfect spot for a fantastic day and an even more amazing night.
Ladies & Gentlemen, Josephine & Thomas!
Less of a sneak peek, more of an awesome photo of an awesome couple. Brooke & Willie at Rathkeale College. More soon!
Verity & Nathan’s recent wedding amongst the vines at Tirohana Estate. More soon!
We learnt a lot over the last weekend at the NZIPP Infocus conference. We even managed to pick up a few print awards in the Wedding category (but that’s the subject of another post).
But one of the things highlighted to us was that Kiwis are terrible at SSP – “Shameless Self Promotion”. We’re far too modest to jump around proclaiming how good we are, so this blog post is going to break that mould, just for once!
We’ve been getting a few features on wedding blogs recently, so I thought I would share them with you all.
The Australian bridal blog Polka Dot Bride featured Katrina & Ant’s Erskine wedding yesterday:
The amazing and always beautiful Wedding Chicks blog featured Leigh & Giles’ Wairarapa wedding at Tarureka Estate:
And New Zealand’s very own Wedding Wise featured Nat & Brett’s Wellington wedding:
You may recognise Leigh & Giles from earlier, here.
You may also recognise Leigh from here.
Or maybe you saw Leigh & Giles’ feature over at Wedding Chicks today here.
Either way, you’ll want to stick around to see a little more – these say more than our words ever could.
Ladies & Gentlemen, the beautiful Leigh & Giles at Tarureka Estate, Featherston. Enjoy!
Leigh & Giles, thanks!
As we approach the shortest day of the year, amidst the gloominess of winter I wanted to brighten up your Monday morning with a little sunshine! More to come!
Leigh was beautiful. Trust me. But you’ll just have to wait and see.
More from Leigh & Giles @ Tarureka Estate coming soon.
