Rahael & Brendon

It’s not typical to get married in the middle of winter, but everything about Rahael and Brendon’s wedding day was a bit unique. The cultural sensation of a sari-draped bride marrying a kilt-wearing groom. A storming and emotive groomsmen entrance teeming with Maori heritage, followed by the classic modern kiwi sound of Tiki Taane.

Prayer and faith were in abundance throughout the day. Personalised heartfelt vows flowed through to warm speeches and prayer. On a cold winter’s day in All Saints Church everyone’s heart was warmed by Rahael and Brendon’s love.

Bridesmaids gifted individually wrapped fruitcake to guests as they congratulated Rahael and Brendon before a GO Wellington bus transported them to The Pines, Houghton Bay, to continue the celebration of their marriage. The roaring fire created perfect ambiance for the drinks & canapés as the new Mr and Mrs Green mingled with their guests into the evening.

The Album

Arriving on the doorsteps of Anna and Mike‘s Abu Dhabi apartment today was their wedding album.

Beautifully constructed by our album providers in the USA, this digitally printed lay-flat coffee table album is a supremely contemporary take on the wedding album, we think absolutely perfect for today’s modern couples.

When ordering one of these beautiful albums with our Wedding Photography packages Aneta will custom-design each and every page in the album, taking into account your feedback and favourite images to present a stunning collection of your special day.  The full page printing and lay-flat design means we can take advantage of the entire double page of the 10″x10″ spread and you barely notice the seam.

The printing quality is of a very high standard: Epson pigment-based inks are used on 2mm thick pages that are cured and set to avoid any further ink rubbing off. Let’s just say these fine art albums will stand the test of time!

Hey, remember us… ?!

Wow, we’ve been a little quiet on the blog lately, haven’t we!  However, not so on the photography front – in fact, quite the opposite.

We’re solidly booking up for next summer: If you’re interested in Photography or Photobooth packages – or a combination of both! – get in contact and let’s have a chat!

Things are ticking along. Here’s a little teaser of things we’ve been working on lately.

We’ve been photographing various products, including these beautiful looking (and tasting!) French Macarons:

We’ve been working with commercial clients including looking for creative angles in a Pilates studio:

The Photobooth has been out and about on the town:

And we’ve still been doing what we love best of all, and photographing people. In this case, very small people:

Our Photobooth has spent the last 2 months being cleaned and renovated and given it’s W.O.F. and will be showing very soon at a Westfield near you – keep an eye out on the blog for more details! As another quick teaser, have a peek at these images.

Welcome to the new We Do Photography & Design blog!

Welcome, finally, to the new WE DO Photography & Design blog!

This new website has been a couple of months in the making, and getting this blog up and running is one of the final touches to the site.

The Design half of We Do Photography & Design – a.k.a Aneta – has been hard at work creating mock-ups and screenflows and providing graphical elements for the site, whilst I’ve been busy working on my PHP / CSS skills and coding up this template.

What do you think?  Nice, huh?

Actually, this should just be considered version 0.5 of the blog design – there’s still a bit of work to do.  The page layout isn’t quite as aesthetically pleasing as we would like, but in the meantime as we continue to tweak this we’ll still be posting regularly on this blog, and I hope you’ll continue to visit or subscribe to our feed.  Via these dinky little Category icons you can see if the post is relevant to the Photobooth, Photography, Design or just general WE DO business.

We’ll be posting across all 4 categories, and hopefully posting articles of interest.  There will be photos of our photoshoots (with a couple of big ones up over the next couple of weeks – stay tuned!), Photobooth wrap-ups, latest designs we’ve been working on, and just things that interest and inspire us, and hopefully you too.

Tune in and stay!  Great to have you following!

– Jason & Aneta
